Russian special forces have foiled the attempted hijacking of an aircraft on a domestic flight from the Caucasus region to Moscow's Domodedovo airport.
All the passengers were freed after special forces disguised as doctors boarded the aircraft at the airport, Russia's Itar-Tass news agency cited a police spokesman as saying.
A passenger on a flight from Mineralnye Vody to the Russia capital had "made orders to the crew," an airport spokeswoman said.
Itar-Tass said the hijacker had demanded a meeting with media and law enforcement agencies.
None of the passengers were hurt in the operation.
